Definition of "Notarial Acknowledgment"
Notarial acknowledgment refers to an acknowledgment from a Notary Public as to the execution of a document. In the acknowledgment, the notary public certifies:
- That the signer personally appeared before the notary public on a certain date and in a certain county.
- As to the identity of the signer (personally known or upon satisfactory evidence).
- That the signer acknowledged executing the document.
